I don't think it's fair to say that they 'scammed' people.
Their patreon page got shut down. The artist had advance warning from patreon that their account was going to be suspended and they even put up a post on their patreon advising members that they were going to create an account on pixiv and move everything over there. AS well as telling people to download what they could from patreon. However it appears that the pixiv account has also been suspended.

Their twitter is gone. Their deviantart profile says "Deactivated Account". When trying to look at the pixiv profile it says "User has left pixiv or the user ID does not exist.". Also seems like they deleted their reddit account u/MentallyMelted.

Hopefully they can come back at some point in some way. However it might be unlikely that they can continue with the same style of content. That would be disappointing as I thought the entire "Ella" series was great. Really built up to a change in the character. If they don't end up coming back I'm sure someone will post the remaining chapters here at some point in the future. It goes up to chapter 47 so still some stuff that is not yet on e-hentai.
