As I do every year, I will take a month long summer break starting from June 30 to August. There will still be random content update during that month (I plan to use the time to get some design work done, notably Sinean designs and have some fun) and get so rest and recover in the meantime! HMGBAPS, Unsheltered, and Legends Arceus: Strange Shores updates will stop until the end of the break!

As I didn't want to stop HMGBAPS on another cliffanger, the last two pre-break pages will be replaced by a 2 pages Wild Times mini arc around the "current in Galar" team. I hesitated to upload them in this one gallery, but it would be confusing on the long term.

Wow, the pre-rewrite stuff was written better and was sexier. It also had a better art style. Very beautiful and fit the theme. I loved how you frequently used your knowledge of pokemon in the story. Now it looks closer to post-modernist stuff and the story doesn't feel grounded as a pokemon story anymore. It just uses the characters without incorperating anything beyond that.

Page 68 was very heartwarming.

I think a lesbian sex scene between Elsa and Laure would be amazing, both smut wise and plot wise. And sex scenes with Mrs. Liliscione or Anabelle would also be great. I know if someone tries to trick Anabelle into having sex they'll be eaten by Girantina, but someone could tell her how beautiful she is and not be deceptive.

Tbh, the more I read this, the more I genuinely believe it is Eerie, not Lou who should be apologizing. On top of that, she's done little to make amends, properly apologize or fix the situation, other than offer some wild Pokemon she met at the Park. She isn't loyal nor is she loving.

From what's we've seen, especially in scenes where she was smiling with other actresses on set while Lou was standing by miserable, Eerie is just as bad as Aya, except Aya is honest about being a playgirl. She's just a s much of a Playgirl, but refuses to admit it.

@Stevester: I thought about it as I (initially) had adapted HMGBAPS CH2 to include Galar in it (and then the entire rewrite made it easier to take it into account) but I decided against it this time, as it would require a another narrative shift, and while I'd love for Lou to get a Tinkaton, the gymnastic to get there would almost require another rewrite... So my plan for Scarlet/Violet as of now is that it'll come in its own story

2. Actually I just haven't had the opportunity yet; I had drawn some Alpha-sized (before PLA) pokémon that were supposed to appears in the og chapter 2 but then got retconned; both Dynamax and Alpha size will appear eventually

Recent BG tests (essentially return to 3D backgrounds) had me ponder how my old style would shape up with current rendering techniques. The next few pages will continue that test till we change location again, or something long term is finally established.

Pro: The "old style" had something I found none of my recent styles had and has been trying to replicate since then; I suppose I'm more of a shading artist than a line-based one.
Con: the old style (and this update one) take a shitload of time and effort to do, and if I have recovered enough to handle that workload again these couple years, it's still demanding.

Going forward and for the "Hanamachi" sequence, I'll test a way to simplify it while keeping it shading and see where it goes...

Because there's no "new" version, only the former chapter 2 were discarded and part of the story was rewritten, but everything before the new CH2 still leads to where the characters are now. It would make no sense to separate them both, though for all intents and purposes I could've named the current ongoing chapter a sequel instead of a continuation within the same story.

The Shorts were added at the end of chapters they happened after/related with as per request of people here too.

@SirTwenty7 Mass is actually not a factor when calculating gravitational acceleration. Gravity is 9.81m/s^-2 (3 s.f). From a height of 14 meters, it would take 1.69 seconds to hit the ground, at a speed of 59.63km/h.

The number itself isn't important, it's what's occurring throughout that small timeframe that's being emphasised.

@Ragner Angel That'd be true in the void, but in Earth's atmosphere, you have to account for mass due to mass/volume ratio (density) and mass/surface ratio and repartition. Although, on such a short distance and with an average human, these only have a negligible impact.

That said, you're right, what's more important is how much goes through her mind in the very short span of her fall. I just had trouble figuring myself how fast it'd actually look when imaginning the scene.
Come to think of it, 14m is much shorter than we'd imagine (think lenght of a bus or a small boat), and 2s is actually way longer than it sounds.

All in all, that's plenty enough time and distance to see your death coming, especially given our brain's capacity to distort our perception of time.

Since you're probably struggling rn on how to fit all the plot/backstory you wanna share in limited bubblespace, I Don't know how other folks like it, but I don't mind walls of text between drawings, as long as there are drawings and not walls of text only. I mean, it's the benefit of the internet, that you're not gonna run out of virtual paper, and if you're worried about people just skimming trough it will get confused, you may leave the bare bones strictly important sentences as black (or if it's Aya the red baron, white) background is text, while having all the rest of the conversation as slightly lighter , more backgroundish hue(Maybe even gradient, or a picture, although the text would have to be quite thick strokes for it to be sensible, meaning that the "important part" would then stand out better being thin)
Just an idea, so you won't burn out yourself over a single convo, nor trim it down to the point that it doesn't sound natural.
Although with how you've shown your expertise with framing and layout, I'm sure you could make a few tens of aesthetically captivating (i.e both interesting and nice to look at, regardless of the text content) pages, while keeping actual drawing to minimum, had you wanted to (although it would be a lot of planning and mental work compared to drawing work I guess, so it' an extremal example, instead of something more convenient)

This was kinda good at first, but now I just have no fucking clue what's going on. It gives off the impression of trying to be deep and intricate purely for the sake of it, despite the title giving the impression it's going to be all porn. This isn't helping the huge lack of actually good Pokemon comics.

It's Girlywatch all over again. That started as just porn, which was great. But then out of nowhere it switched to zero porn, completely serious, and it just felt ruined.

Not burning out over the convo is absolutely fair and a good idea, and doing things with a more text / panel / text / panel could lessen the load while keeping the conversation flowing; I've been considering adopting the way I did the "redone prologue" after that last "into panel", with important events / time ellipsis / crisis / conclusion, but going the "standalone" situation with framing and layout could be a way to present things too.
