@gddfd Nah... It bombed in the box office. If anything the first ones to convert people were space jam(Michael Jackson version through Lola bunny), lion king, and possibly the little mermaid and beauty and the beast. Edit: Michael Jordan not jackson... My stupid half asleep brain.

@Pseudo-Nim well.... I'm just recalling the ones I know of. I think wasn't even born yet or even introduced to the animated film when I was a kid. My earliest memories is the Lion King that was Anthropomorphic in nature. Beauty and the beast not much because it's a curse. Little mermaid a strong maybe. Space Jam... Later in life. But if we're going by the oldest known anthropomorphic stories will be the stories about the Yokai Kitsune. Fascinating that some of the writers back in those days told of stories about marriage with a kitsune. Heck... We may even consider the gods of Egypt as such examples of Anthropomorphic characters. Even weird stories. Like the tale of Horus and Seth's contest for the throne and the tale of the letus dressing that Seth ate.... I can't unhear after watching it from a short in YouTube. Further investigation online suggests it was the case.
