Well this was a different ending. The only issue I have is how the wife says it's over like she pretty much always hated it and yet never tried to say anything to her husband. It was one thing if it felt like that but, to only say it's over when he got killed I wish there was more on her actually feeling relieved. Or maybe she just realized that he knows now but, again the fact she says stuff like she would've gotten here faster if it wasn't for her fucking husband it says a lot. And yes it was the old man who died as he says something along the lines of you shouldn't be running in the hallway. So he's speaking to the husband who then flips him and kills him.

Jesus Christ on a Unicycle, this ending. The big problem I have with it is it makes no sense. I think we can assume it's the manager, as this takes place decades later(according to the blurb) and I would hope her husband could take care of an old fat man. But why? Those SD cards have to be the managers, so how did they get into the husband's office. Had to be the wife. Why did she decide to end the decades long affair, destroying her family? Was she sick of lying to her family? Had the manager moved on and she had become jealous? Did she suddenly have an attack of conscience about cheating on her husband? We don't know because the Author never fing shows us any of this! She's completely the manager's by book 4 and shows no hints of regret here at all(as far as I caun tell, Papago'd the translation so I might have missed something). So why? It's the reason I question if it is the manager at the end. If she's completely teh manager's like it appears with no hints that she is unhappy with their relationship(going on decades) I wouldn't expect her to be happy it's over and be emotional at seeing his dead body. Now if we continue with that thought process of her being the manager's and it's her husband she would be this emotionless and finally free to be with the manager. It's really frustrating for an over thinker like me who wants a concrete ending. Hence this god damn long ass rant. I actually bought the god damned book so I could in good conscience ask the author on twitter who it was and why. I don't expect an answer, but if I get one I'll update this.

Update: The Author did respond with the, whatever you think it is, it is. God damn it I knew he was going to say that. Also I was looking at other comments that she maybe left it by accident, but I think it's a whole book of SD cards, I husband mentions they all have the names of the kids, which is why I think it had to be left deliberately and not by accident. I
