[Potato Salad (Himekuri)] Ninpin Shimai wa Oborenai! (Azur Lane) [Digital]

While it is an improvement in some places over the Pyra book, my opinions on this book ar much more mixed than that, or the controversial Popuni ending. Perhaps it's just my ignorance of Azur Lane, and the fact that I'm reading this through google translate, but the plot is just hard to follow. I think this is our first instance of outright rape in a Potato Salad book. Usually the girls/aliens are willing or are naively willing to follow the lead of the male for lack of understanding. Again, pardon my lack of knowledge on the game, (seriously, not even the mods can tell which boats these girls are?) but I get that these two are sisters? And while it starts as rape, I think we're left to assume that the ugly bastard "fake captain" or whatever he was, cast that womb tattoo spell on her to make her love it, and thus get her sister to be more willing. Making it a repeat of the events of Popuni 9, but with a little sister type like Kana, instead of the milf school teacher Chihiro. I'm also pretty sure this is Kuriguri's shortest non-white book story since Popuni Vol 3 at only 24 pages. The art and posing are still 100% potato, but I can't help feeling like she's held back when she does work based on established IP, rather than when she's doing a story with characters all her own. I wish she would return to doing original work. My wet dream is for a return to Popuni. 1) so Hime Kuri Guri could take a second pass at that controversial ending, but 2) so we can get a proper "chicken and Egg" scene with Futaba and the milf-ified Blonde Saki. Seriously, only three panels of that design (and not even full milf designs for the other girls) where she's not even the focus character is just such a waste! We were so close to double milf greatness! But I digress. Overall, confusing execution. Great individual panels, but continuity is hard to understand. Maybe it will make more sense when formally translated, but Potato Salad still has the best xray shots and most creative ways to get around censorship laws and it's nice to finally see a womb tattoo.
