Yeah they fucking invaded the game translation industry now it's even in fucking doujins.. I fucking hate crap MTL that takes no damn effort and makes 0 fucking sense anyways and is unreadable.

A certain forum's stance on MTL games caused people who think MTL-ing things is an alright compromise for a lack of translation to think it's a good idea to apply it to doujins, too.

Ironically I have managed to set up one of these auto-manga-translators just the other day, to finally read all these doujins I was salivating on. At least I have the modesty not to upload the results! MTL is better than nothing, but only slightly.

The biggest problem with MTL is that it drastically reduces the chances of getting a proper translation...
So if you like MTL, that's fine... But... Please... Keep it for yourself. Do not upload those MTLs as if they were something "good".

Isn't it the fault of the community for being discouraged enough to look at a poor translation job enough to not making it? If you can do a MTL in a short amount of time then it stands to reason that the people who work on the longer ones would be passionate enough irregardless.
On top of that, this isn't a nuanced story with a bunch of twists and heartfelt moments. It's porn. It serves a different purpose for what people are trying to get out of it. There's exceptions of course but in this case with this comic, even it got a proper translation, I doubt it would make to much of a difference outside of petting the artists ego. Don't try and tell me this story is breaking new ground to the extent that a change wording would make it infinitely more original. I've seen this story before and it's fine for what it is as porn. But not as a story.
