And here we have the final part of the elf detective story by this artist. It ended on a good note, but I'll admit, the sex wasn't the greatest. I did like the plot though, and both elves were cute, so it's all good in the end.

"It's about time I got ..." is natural, idiomatic English. It may be informal and un-grammatical (because "got" is past tense), but it's not incorrect. In fact, I'd say it's slightly more native-sounding than "get".

I'll add that @mysterymeat3's translations display an extremely skillful and nuanced use of English. If he's not a native English-speaker, I'd be very surprised (and impressed).
