they have so many tools at their disposal, and are likely curating their model really well... why the fuck don't they just generate the background separately? Like the models with a focus on scenes and landscapes makes horrific abominations of characters, and the character models doesn't understand what the background is, so why not just do them separately. Do they not know how to lasso or key, is that the entire reason they're making AI art in the first place? Perhaps its the same reason they don't re-render all the backwards hands, fucked up hips, and mysterious fingers popping up where they shouldn't, it looks good at a glance and it got the click and that's all that matters.

@Deidmann - Have you tried editing images? I'm by not means experienced on it, which is actually more the reason for me to say this: It is not a simple copy and paste operation to put separate things together and make it look natural due to complexities like lighting, colour temperature, shadows, reflected light. It is akin to trying to make a collage with physical cut-outs. Most of the time it does not work if you want something seamless and photorealistic from pieces sourced from different places.
