I like having a primer for futa content. I feel like they should have spent more time talking about actual futas, and not other adjacent fetishes/subjects. Also only futa-on-male is mentioned which is my least favorite pairing. But as always Dsan's art is good.

Actual intersex is a birth defect found in a tiny fraction of all births. I'm sorry, but THAT is reality.

And intersex that manifests as fully-formed genitals for both sexes — y'know, the definition of futanari — is exceedingly rare. The number of known cases in all of history can be counted on two hands. In the vast majority of cases, intersex manifests as something like an enlarged clitoris or internal testicles or a closed vagina. And even those cases are still just a tiny fraction of all births.

So, as the previous comment said, it's just weird to equate/conflate that reality with the porn fantasy. They're not even remotely on the same level, and anyone who says they are is either deeply insecure or wildly delusional. I know it's the current fashion for some people to make being intersex their entire identity, but… c'mon.

I feel like some people are mixing up the sections here, they're basically just saying WHY they use the term Intersex for their fictional characters, that Janet and other characters like her are self admitted exaggerations, that they're canonically not magical but admittedly not entirely representative of reality. They even specified that real intersex people don't typically have both full parts, I don't know why that person re-explained that like it wasn't already written in the comic. And the Trans section isn't included as part of the intersex section, they aren't making that claim either. I have no strong opinions about it either way, but technically its only supposed to be in reference to people born that way and some transformation artist still prefer that term over futa for some reason. They aren't even saying you can't use the terms Futanari or Traps... like they legit used trap here. The only parts that said you shouldn't are in reference to irl models... and thats actually useful to know if you have even a modicum of respect for them, that the tags you use to describe/search your kinks aren't inherently offensive but models have a preference when referring to them specifically. Though with the cross section of sex work and trans I'm sure that the majority who brush past this are at best 'shut up and let me wank' and like... fair, I guess... you are on the wank site and this isn't wank material.

But like, isn't the whole reason were wanking it to comics instead of just amatuer irl shit from pornhub entirely because we want more context and expression? I mean at least thats it for me, Cup of Love wouldn't be as sexy or entertaining if Janet wasn't such an authentic character, not really shocked that Dsan has thought this hard into it, or that they're taking a the route of 'an exaggeration of an incredibly rare real phenomenon' instead of 'heres a fantasy where fully functional hermaphrodites are completely normal' or conversely 'A fantasy where this one nerdy chick is the one true super hermaphrodite.' Its a perspective that supports the setting and tone of the piece and they've probably gotten enough questions about in in the past to feel the need to make this.
