lmao, there's no such thing as "dog years" and "human age" conversion for animals... Their biological cycles are completely independent of average human life expectancy, and there is no linear mapping between human development and that of other mammals. If that breed of dogs has that kind of development at that age, then that's just how it is. There is no human reference they could have used, so it makes perfect sense for the plot to use unscaled dog years for dogs, of course. Y'all just being ridiculously sensitive about the wrong things. If anything, you should take this as an opportunity to learn something about dogs, in a sense.

This is the one thing that never made me a full furry: Their weird knack at having their characters be as biologically compatible to the real deal as possible, (usually) without devolving into plain zoophilia.

I like furry porn for the animal features and some concepts related to the characters being non-human, but all the biological stuff can be overwhelming, I have learned so much stuff about animals I didn't want to know...
