I feel like Merryweather just isn't a good enough writer for the themes being addressed here. He is given a basic idea of what the artist wants to draw and then bases the story off of that. It normally works cause everything Merryweather works on is super simple or comedic in nature. Then, the actual good comics normally have a credited Co writer

Seems Merryweather is really proud of this though based on his Twitter. I just don't see it. Even Merryweathers format is really bad for this artist. The art on Twitter is significantly higher quality

Work on your appearance because lets be real you want a CUTE goth not just any goth girl and ya shouldn't ne a hypocrite. It's unreasonable to want someone you're attracted to if you yourself are not willing to put in the work to make yourself more attractive. Aside from that learn about goth culture. Listen to some bands, visit some spots. ask questions. See if you genuinely enjoy the lifestyle. Because if you get a gf whose into it then that lifestyle WILL become a big part of your life. Learn to be empathetic and listen. Be prepared for a LOT of emotionally charged moments. Goth girls and alternative types in general are usually very emotional...been there. Was not a fan myself. Conversely you could find yourself a gf whose interests, hobbies, attitude, and passions you enjoy and maybe ask her if once in a while shed cosplay goth girl for you if all you care about is the look.
