still needs generation artifact review / quality control and maybe the will to generate uncensored images. but we actually are closely approaching the possibility of feeding a smut story — by paragraph — into an AI prompt and getting a set of consistent illustrations. now you'd have to increase the number of generated images up to get single comic / manga frames, but those would just need speech / thought bubbles.

No. We aren't close to it at all. Unless you also think Minecraft has realistic terrain generation. Realistic to Earth, not an abstraction of Earth. A fucking tree is one meter by one meter by six meters. Its only "close" if you're high on HOPIUM and you deliberately ignore anything that doesn't fit the "so close copium."

If anything this is closer to being useful as like a model posing software. This is decent for thumbnailing a story. But 80% of the work will always be curating randomly generated trash. Deafeating the entire dream of "give me a new Shakespeare every morning completely hands off."
