If you are not able to upload some pictures, maybe they are just too big? The maximum filesize for a JPG file is 20 MB. So if the picture is over 20 MB big, you have to compress the picture to be able to upload it.

You can do that, but please rename the compressed picture and add a "resized" or "compressed" at the end of the file, so people know this is not the original format.
And in the torrent you upload the original files.

It is possible the pics are less than 20 MB and appropriately sized
The e-hentai uploading engine is saying his pictures are corrupt so it won't successfully upload and gives OP an error message.
The corrupt part is the metadata or jpeg header and/or the jpeg thumbnail, but the picture data is completely fine.
So the jpeg displays perfectly fine on any computer on any picture viewer, but e-hentai need everything to be perfect.
OP will need to delete/sanitize the metadata and/or or rebuild the jpeg thumbnail for e-hentai to accept it.
I use the free XNviewMP for such a task.

This has happened to me before many times.
Only 2 of the 60 pics did not have a corrupt jpeg metadata and that is why this gallery is 2 pics.
