Dirty A.I. translation using IchigoReader. Got tired of waiting for a legit translation job, so here's something ya'll can enjoy in the interim.

And no, its not perfect (or good even), and I don't plan on putting any work into trying to improve the pre-baked results as I literally work 16 hours a day, lmao, and even doing this much has cut deep into my limited daily allotment of sleep (internet here is hella bad, as in 50kbps).

Please, for the love of god, someone do a proper job on the untranslated Ameshoo stuff before I am forced to do more desecration.

P.S. Cards Played are as follows far as I can tell:

Black Haired Chick: Nipples, Cosplay, No Climaxes, Clitoris, Double Sensitivity, Love at First Sight, Common Sense Alteration
Green Haired Chick: Futanari, Lotion, Debauchery, Onahole, Continuous Climax, Golden Balls
Blond Haired Chick: Anal Beads, Master and Servant, Dirty Talk, Vibrator, Kitsune, Enema

I hope that this is never translated properly out of spite. Or anything you like, for that matter.

Seriously, why bother wasting your time if you know this is neither good nor acceptable.
You literally would've done yourself more good by just sitting on your ass instead of running this through a machine and uploading it.

Gyuuk, I'll do it again!

Garsh!

It's worth uploading for no other reasons than A.I. tech is interesting and I'm tired of using sketchy as fuck translation overlay apps to attempt to translate this one so I can re-read it every so often... especially since I'm often in the middle of nowhere with shit-all for internet, so this is something that exists now.

Machine translation just so you can read it for yourself? Fine, no one cares. No one would ever even know.

But no one forced you to upload it here, much less martyr yourself. ("I literally work 16 hours a day, blah, blah, blah.") You're just showing off and then lying about why you're doing it.

It's stupid and gross. You've actually, actively made things worse. Stop it.

I speak Japanese and I have honestly no problem with this. It says right there on the title that it's AI-translated. Nobody is being tricked into believing this is good

Sure enough it's very bad and in 5 pages there's already 5 speech bubbles that are nonsensical or the complete opposite of what they're supposed to say, but again, nobody is being tricked

If the text was edited to be good English, some people could think it's a good translation -- and that'd be bad, when that happens common folk don't have a sense that the translation is bad and so they think it's a waste of time to do an actually good translation. But this is just awful. Nobody will be satisfied by this text, I'm sure it'll be translated someday. It's like the language equivalent of a low-resolution gallery, imo.

Based and redpiled.

Of course, if a real english translation pops up i will notice it and have this one removed as redundant and low quality.

Till then this is good enough for the english readers to figure out whats going on, or at least I'm able to follow it. Maybe its confusing if you havent reread the whole thing as much as I have.

And no, it wasnt difficult at all. Literally upload file to website, download translated file back. Anyone can, and should, do it if they want insight into an untranslated doujin.

It only took me my entire 8 hour rest period (all that i have in this world =/) because i was literally getting dialup connection speeds, lmao. Still am, as it happens.

Me hard worker, not smart worker. Hyuuk.

You do understand when you upload these kinds of "translations" it decreases the chances of a legitimate translation right?

Maybe the title could instead feature '[LQ Interim AI/EN]' or something.

Cant imagine how tbh.

Perhaps you mean people who ordinarily are so immensely blueballed for a transcript that theyd fork over hard cash to cure it getting unblueballed by this 50/50 automatic handjob by ungifted robot then maybe the translation literally is 'good enough' to get the job done? XD

You literally can't remove garbage uploads like this one from panda. That's the problem.

As for how this affects the chances of getting a real translation, the word "repost" is all you need to know.
It's incredibly laughable how the average reader cannot discern the slightest bit of difference between a real TL and a MTL version.
I personally don't care about being the first one to touch something but after seeing someone reduce your version to being a simple "repost", it makes you wish you worked on something else instead.
After all, why bother wasting energy fixing something when most people don't give a shit about what they read or consume.

AI translation needs to be it's own tag...

Yup, I can try and see if I can make a new tag. Never tried.

Also, wouldn't it be HELLA SICK if the psychopaths who code this website got in touch with some A.I. translation teams and integrated it into a toggle on/off overlay for LITERALLY EVERYTHING on site. It is, after all, just a software problem.

It would naturally suck compared to a bespoke translation... but it would even be useful to compare between the fan generated translations and the professional ones. Namely, it would keep the human translators more honest with their translations (I've read multiple translations of the same material before where there were massive differences in tone, quality, humor, etc...).

And you could toggle it off whenever. Maybe also paywall it behind hath. A lot of hath. Or donations.

Anyway... who thinks I should make more A.I. translations like this one, and who thinks I should fuck right off and get extra sleep?

Vote now! =D

Best I can think of is 'A.I. Genereated' tag... but that would be wrong since the art isn't A.I. generated... just the translation... and the tagging system seems to be very strict about enforcing the rule that 'writers, commissioners, decensors, translators, and scanners' don't produce the content itself so they can fuck right off, lmao.

The obvious solution to this problem would be to just not post A.I. translations unless they were of passable quality? If so, what aught to be the quality limit?

Legitimately asking here, I ain't got a fukin clue.

What I think goes without question though is that A.I. translations are going to pretty quickly reach the point where you won't be able to distinguish them from human translations... so maybe that should be the bar?

>Kyuume

You can't remove redundant files? I guess it makes sense, some wacko somewhere on the site might actually prefer machine translations to human ones and be miffed if it got deleted from their faves. They certainly are faster, if nothing else.

I would have thought there was some system for cleaning out low-resolution galleries and the like though. Maybe point the bad gallery towards the good gallery after nuking it.

As for people having shit-taste and being retarded little self-entitled fucks? Well... you've met people. That ain't changing... and if you're currently paying rent with translation money you might want to start looking a bit further a field because that industry will eventually go the way of the telephone switch operator.

Nobody likes this shit. This gallery is rated less than one star, all your comments too (at least the ones people actually saw, because people only saw this around when it was posted and NOBODY is gonna go looking for this crap.)

AI translations, judging by the quality of this "work" you've done, are a far far cry from being "indistinguishable" from human translations. Let me give some advice:

Reading this is like reading the incomprehensible ramblings of a moron. There's no tonal consistency, concepts get swapped repeatedly ("cards" getting referred to as "tickets,") important stuff like what is on the actual cards is completely nonsensical, etc. It's just irritating. Most people would rather just not even read it and stare at the untranslated version instead, since most people's imagination can make a more erotic narrative than this.

It's not about "speed." Nobody is begging you to translate things as fast as you can. It's not a competition. People want to read good translations of good doujins. If you want to machine translate it and read it on your own, fine, but don't impose your low standard of quality on everyone else, and expect people to actually appreciate it.

Just take this as a lesson learned, the standards for content here are higher than you anticipated, and that's fine. I agree that an AI generated tag would be great, but only for preventing stuff like this from being sorted with the actual hard work people do on real translations. There's no "bar" for translation quality except that the translator did their best and respected the original work, and that the end product is sufficient to not distract from the eroticism of the piece. This accomplishes none of these.

Most people don't pay rent with "translation money," groups link their Patreons in the hopes that they get like, 20-40 bucks for their hard work. They spend their break times translating as a hobby and they love doing it. Accurately translating and interpreting the meaning and eroticism of doujin's writing is truly rewarding, and believe it or not, people do it for fun and you're lucky that they do.

My favorite things the ai does wrong is get pronouns wrong, add negative indicators to positive statements, and completely skip translation if the words are partially obscured or crooked.

If you think all of the above wont be improved i bet you think text to speech isnt ever going to happen either.

As for imagination, I think there might be a sweet spot. Theres a few pages that do nothing for me personally, mostly the body swap punishment throughline. It might be worth deleting those pages and rewiting things so that they end up stuck instead with the changes at the end.

And as you have correctly realized, people do things like translations out of an act of passion. Like the artists themselves, they do it whether or not money ever comes of it because they enjoy what they do.

Artists the world over are having shit fits over ai because they know that the art they produce, the movie scripts they write, and the news they cover are of such poor quality that a robot could do as good or better.

True artists, the ones that make history, dont have that problem.

Passionate artists, who simply want to see more art of a certain kind make it into the world, dont even realize theres a problem.

People with low tallent and high ambition see the ai as competition for eyeballs and wallets and cry foul because they cant compete.

And theyre correct. The average person is so retarded that the media and art they consume can and often is the lowest quality garbage you can find... because its cheap and easy to produce.

Know what else is cheap and easy to produce?

I will, however, conceed that if I was a random retard looking at Ameshoo's body of work, I would not understand why this translation was off so badly.

I've managed to run the rest of that untranslated pile of doujin through the translator A.I., and I personally think it came out pretty great. I can understand whats going on perfectly, even if the translation is obviously lacking in areas.

But for the average joe they don't care so much I think the concensus is correct in that it would mostly just clutter up the site and confuse people.

If, indeed, there were a tag for 'A.I. translated' or even 'non-standard' translation tags... something that could be easily filtered for in site settings... but even then it doesn't fix the problem for the people who would actually have the problem in the first place, idiots who are looking for real translations.

So I suppose I'm saying that ya'll are probably right on this one, as much as I like to argue the case for non-human automatic translation software.

In the end, if you're savy enough to do your own translations this way then there's really no point to me posting it, since literally anyone can do this and it only takes literal seconds to process. Just find your favorite Doujins and feed into the machine and off you go.

Highly recommend it. It opens up a HUUUGE world of overlooked manga.

So if you like what you see, and have a LOOOOONG list of things you want to read but can't because nobody else cares about your favorite artist(s), then try out A.I.!

I used IchigoReader but its far from the only or the best manga/scan translation service out there.
