I wasn't a big fan of how Valkyria was structured but still wanted a the finished product that I'd spent money on. But like the Boy Hero Ken dev Shadow Garden just took our money, promised to finish the game post release, and then ran off and disappeared. Any hate he gets after that is completely deserved.
