Not usually a fan of Futa material, but I gotta say this one hits different.

Futas in this verse arguably have the pros of both genders with little to none of the cons. (Functionally and socially.)

The Futas here are bigger, stronger, and faster than both normal males and females. They have A LOT MORE muscle and height but still retain a clearly feminine silhouette/structure with the soft bits sufficiently accumulated where most people find naturally attractive.

As RabidTanker said, I don't really see this as a bad fate, so much as an upgrade so long as you can accept that your body will heavily err towards the feminine.

It also seems like this process doesn't mentally break/change you like we often see in other GB transformation material, so that is also a plus. Honestly, with how the society in the verse is structured and how thorough the change to your body is, you would be a fool to not volunteer for this.

As you say, it is indeed strange that they are trying this futa transformation process on a guy instead of just doing it on a normal girl considering they go through a normal female stage anyways. Aside from the meta reason (it being good GB material) it is rather redundant.

Perhaps the reason they want guys to go through the futa transformation instead of the girls, is that while the guys in the verse are even smaller/weaker than guys from our world (and everyone else in this verse), they still seem to have an inherent disposition to a domineering/competitive personality common with our own males. If the 2nd story in this verse is any indication, the females in this verse while bigger/stronger than the guys, still seem to also retain the same mental traits of our own female population. Meanwhile, all the normal futas presented thus far (all 2 of them xD) have a tomboy/alpha disposition even during childhood where they may be smaller than a male of the same age.

That combined with the limited amount of futas (the 1st story in this verse had the teacher volunteer as a demonstration because she was the only futa in class, this implies they aren't as numerous as males and females) it may very well be more *holistic* from a eugenics POV to change a boy to a futa if you want said futas to act a certain way.

I do still think our MC is still "him" if that makes any sense, so no "mental break" (yet).
