Thank you for the upload. Really glad I came across this, as it's been very enjoyable. It's very much an adult novel that is set within the DBZ universe.

Love the references to Gohan and Videl's DB Super counterparts and the fact that they are (were) in an alternate universal timeline. Both characters are very much like their canon selves, and I love how the creator has put a lot of care into making this feel like a Dragon Ball story.

Hercule remains one of the best dads in the series as Videl is his top priority even in death. For Gohan, this does well in pointing out how the loss of Piccolo and Goku would prevent him from achieving his full potential. Without the former, he would have no guide and no discipline. Without the latter, he would have no drive nor someone to push out his saiyan instincts and use his rage to dismiss his uncertainty.

Even though this likely goes towards the canon ending for both of them, it's still a tragic romance that does well describing how things could've gone down before Trunks travels to the past.

People have mentioned that it seems to go same as Trunks going to the past, but this Gohan ran from home, and not training Trunks. I'm hoping that this will be a different branch from that timeline, maybe Gohan being strong enough on his own. I just like the idea of Gohan and Videl still ending up together even in a alternate universe.
