Eric Stanton was very far ahead of the times, and his career directly connects Steve Ditko with Irving Claw (so, Bettie Page to Spiderman/Doctor Strange). There is even a claim that he suggested the full face mask for Spiderman to Ditko, based on bondage masks. Fun stuff.
