@Wilfriback the chief complaint among Japanese fans (which I agree with) are that it is too short and that it needed to focus more on Ibuki instead of trying to evenly give screentime to all 3. Because as is her fall doesn't feel as impactful as Koharu's. I don't really see people complaining about the story development or about the NTR/focus on the Producer's perspective that seemed to be the chief complaints here (at least in the comments of the Raw). It's to the point I didn't even see that mentioned in the Fanza reviews I read, just the notion that it felt rushed and could have been 2 chapters. I think it is probably the case that Satou Kuuki wanted to wrap things up so next year he can start his new project he has been teasing for a while.
There will still be a Kegareboshi After Story released on the Winter Comiket so while it can't improve on Ibuki's break moment, hopefully it can give more of her now twisted/corrupted personality and more sex scenes. This seems to be the chief hope of the people who replied to his announcement on Twitter, so if he listens to the supporters these issues have a high chance of being addressed.

I'm mostly fine with the ending itself, and the sex scenes that are in there are super hot. While I wanted more I also think it's a bit unreasonable to demand that from doujin when this one was already over 40. I think more than this last chapter, it's the previous one that's a huge problem. While the idea is hot the "Purple" chapter feels almost like filler. Nothing really happens there that really has a lasting impact on Ibuki, and nothing that is set up there (like her interactions with Arisa) are paid off. If someone skips from Red to Black it will feel like nothing was missed lol. Can't know what went through the author's head and hindsight is 20/20, but it's still frustrating that the third volume, while hot, wasted time while 4 felt rushed/compressed. That said, still loved reading this and the series as a whole. Being disappointed because previous ones set such a high bar doesn't mean this also wasn't good, at least for me.

ron says it all, but it's just all too common in ero doujin for a filler chapter that feels like a spinoff to ruin the pacing of a story. You could have kept most of the illustration from purple but changed the story around so it's a big reveal to Ibuki that her colleagues were corrupted all along and that there is no help coming.

I get why they do it, because there are some very good/influential eromanga that had a gag chapter here and there, but I just don't think it works in every story.
