I've only ever seen one blackmail manga story make sense and be totally believable. It was about a sports chick that had won a bunch of awards & gained national ranking but had been secretly juicing the entire time. A guy found out and threatened to expose her which would not only destroy her life but the life of everyone around her, her school, her trainers, her family, her friends and maybe even her neighborhood as well. I could 100% buy it that a chick in that position would submit to anything just to keep it underwraps. Usually though it's such a stupid little thing that might cause a minor scandal but would be forgotten overnight. Try harder mangaka-san.
