Takaya-sensei's last Fanbox post was on the 24th and on the 25th his last tweet mentioned having a headache and taking pills for it, so it's implied it may have been a stroke, but we don't know the full details and likely never will. Before his passing he had mentioned on his Fanbox wanting to do more original character works like this one.
