Vandread actually helped get me back into anime when they were airing it on the Encore Zone channel back in 2006. It has it's charm but it's very middle of the road with the tropes. If you have seen more than 20 anime shows you would probably get bored with this one. Like a lot of shows of the early 2000's it's mostly forgotten unfortunately. But I digress! Great character designs on the girls and it's a shame the franchise only got a handful of 3-4 doujins that were actually good. Katsudon did this show justice!
