Rather than using the term rewrite, try localize. While both are similar in nature, they have different meaning. Rewrite often mean (at least here) that you discard the original story and put in your own. While localizing often mean that you change some of he phrases (or even some detail in the story) to fit the culture of the target language without changing the storyline.

Yeah the only rewriting people want is like, if you straight translate a line and it sounds weird in english, it just needs to be localized to sound like a normal english line. If thats the kind of rewriting you are talking about, then fine
