Honestly it felt like reading the kind of story written by an evil literary genius. I see people claiming it's NTR, but it's not. Contrarily to the other works in those spheres, here the story had a point to make and wasn't there just to serve a fetish of torture porn. From the FL's rejection of society's standards to the boy's naive representation of male-female relationships, everything felt like the author really thought deeply about it. This isn't netorare. The girl had no interest in the MC from the beginning, beyond being mildly friendly enough to lend a book and occasionally talk after class. There was no prior commitment or even mild romantic interest. I think this is mis-tagged. Is anything NTR if it makes the MC feel heartbroken? Normally I dislike NTR, but the author's work here is supurb. In fact like others have said, the real twist is that this is more like anyi-NTR which is even better. It didn't fully click until re-reading the part with glasses, but the shy who thought he was being a hero acted more like an NTR antagonist than the alleged 'bully'. He tried to coerece her away with shallow notions of her own ideals, he recorded them doing it, he essentially threatened her with blackmail to "save her", and when things got rough, he became the worst parts of Shinji.

Meanwhile, the one who would typically be an NTR villain, was actually the one who was somewhat of a good guy. Even though he is using her for her body, the feeling is at least mutual on some level, and maybe even more. He cared about her body, but he wasn't going to allow her to degrade herself. And when the sex turned into assault, instead of focusing on the boy, his first priority was getting her some help and alerting some authority. Plus he actually has eyes and isn't a disgusting, ugly, or unattractive evil bastard.

The girl herself is something else that may ruin all of their livee, but that remains to be seen. In total, this really was an NTR story, but one where the "hero" loses because he turned out to be the true villain of his own story. Fighting over a girl who he never truly knew, and would end up destroying himself over. 10/10

This is honestly a great deconstruction of both typical romance Manga and NTR from all the angles you see from it.
Typically, like in Komi-San, you have the beautiful and quiet girl who needs to cone out of her shell and the jock is a shiftless prettyboy who drags everyone down but its all turned on its head so thoroughly that it comes out intriguing. The MC is the obvious one because he's really an entitled wannabe himself who's stuck in a chuuni phase but the girl and the jock are also interesting. The girl really couldn't be further from the typical love interest and she's honestly kind of shit in a way that really fits more with what you actually see from the loner bookworm crowd. Meanwhile, the jock actually is an MC of his own story being that he seems to fit the jerk with a heart of gold archetype. I doubt he's in love with his harem but he could actually have someone steady he cares about in the future. This story is really a filler arc of his told from the antagonist POV and I dig it.
