I can now understand why Naylor consider his old stuff to be cringe. The characters needed to be beholden by the rules of his main comic, or you're gonna end up having every female character being a carbon copy of Sissy. That just fucked whoever without any restraint, resistance or work for the other characters. Now that he doesn't need to do that, you have characters saying things/doing things that doesn't fit for the character written wise, or only put in their so he can inject his pseudointellectual bullshit. Who knew that him restricting himself back then was more beneficial for the consistency of his writing then it is nowadays.

Where's Lucy? She's off somewhere having a normal, healthy relationship with her husband of 20+ years. I often find myself asking the same question of Amy and Austin, but we must remember that Naylor apparently finds monogamous relationships boring, and anything we see of them NOW probably means that some shit's gonna go down and ruin everything. We love these characters, which means that we must ipso-facto want to see LESS of them and let them have their happily-ever-afters.

Actually, there's no mention of barbarism, it LITERALLY states "They were swallowed and displaced when the cats and canines from Europe (came)" with no mention about whether they had it coming or not, and his mom smiles at how Fisk came to the defense of his father.

The worst part about Jay Naylor comics is that they're made by Jay Naylor.

He can't help but insert his cringe politics to the point where I think it's a kink. (Just think of how many times he made gay people straight, or in one case a trans girl craving to get fucked by a guy do nothing but fuck women) Also think of that time he tried to make a strawman character in one of his comics only for people to agree with the strawman, so he character assassinates her to try and get the readers on his side.)

That said, his art is awesome.Best cumshots, best asses, best penetration...

I get that the dialogues in Jay Naylor's comics can get cringy. I seen it, and I felt it. The comment of people who hate it also cringe as hell. This is not specific to the people who hate his comics either. The people who hate that authors insert their perspectives into story are people, I think, who have trouble separate story from the real world, like ironically, their vocal disdain for author's insertion is also them inserting their own perspective to counter the author's. If you don't like it, drop it, you don't need to announce to the world that you hate it. It is a just a story that someone else is telling, and it doesn't has to go the way you want it to. Perspectives come up and you don't have to deep throat and swallow it as a default. You can just read it and be like "oh, that character just say something cringe" and move on. I am not saying you can't voice your opinion if you think something is a pile of crap, but flesh out your goddamn thoughts and build a coherent reasoning other than just spouting your subjective feeling. Yes, you can feel that you don't like something, but guess what, other people can feel differently from you, just speaking about your feeling doesn't mean jack shit other than you metaphorically blowing your own ego. If you can't crank out something that is useful in a discussion, and what you write can be condense to "I think it suck, and I don't like it", then don't waste your time on it, get on with your life.

I don't know how Jay Naylor rallied such a devoted group of hater. Is it the NTR? are people who hate NTR just roaming this site and voicing their hatred on all the NTR stuff? I don't understand why they gave you so many dislikes, what you say is true. Naylor always tries to introduce his pseudo-philosophy and ideology into all of his comics, and since he started drawing until now he doesn't have a single decent work.
And as you say, narratively all of Naylor's works are pathetic. This is not the exception. The origin from which the conflict is based is weak and incongruous, and the development in it is very poor.
Already with the introduction of Jalen in "Brooke Goes to College" one realizes that this boy was going to be a fucker because he is the typical type of character that Naylor likes to fulfill that role. And with respect to Sophia, Naylor abused his only narrative resource to get to those situations: The Ellipsis. It is not known if Sophia and Jalen already knew each other, or if she knew that he is a friend of her son, all that is known is that Jalen showed up with the intention of fucking her and Sophia accepted it. Here you only see Naylor's terrible writing with his pathetic archetypal characters.
