A recently concluded medical study aimed to determine the co-relation between the incidence of vomiting caused by Heimlich maneuvers and abdominal thrust and mortality rate during choking incidents with female casualties. Several cases were studied and it was found out that whenever vomitting was induced, there was a high rate of mortality.

Some of the photographs of the casualties were subsequently leaked online by a research assistant who was later sued by the victims' families. But the damage was done.

Here is the first batch of photos of the victims before and after their choking deaths.

Case #1 (Images 1-2)
A 26 year old woman who choked while having lunch. Her husband gave her multiple Heimlichs and abdominal thrusts, causing her to vomit and subsequently passed away.

Case #2 (Images 3-4)
This 19 year old woman choked on a piece of fried chicken nugget. Attempts to dislodge it by passers-by pressing on her belly induced her to vomit without clearing her airway, leading to her death.

Case #3 (Images 5-6)
A 21 year old female bank intern choked on bread during breakfast. She vomited heavily when the Heimlich was applied. Subsequently she fell unconscious and died after 2 days in a coma.

Case #4 (Images 7-8)
A particularly tragic case as the 26 year old victim was 7 months pregnant. The mother to be choked on a dumpling that she accidentally swallowed whole after a boy knocked into her. Her husband applied the modified Heimlich correctly but it could not save her. She vomited out a lot of slimy fluids and died soon after.

Case #5 (Images 9-10)
The 23 year old woman choked on a fried doughstick. Abdominal thrusts were applied after she fell unconscious. She vomited out the soy milk she drank but the doughstuck remain lodged in her airway. She was pronounced dead when she arrived in hospital.

Case #6 (Images 11-12)
This 20 year old woman choked on a burger and the Heimlich and abdominal thrusts applied induced her to vomit, causing further obstruction of her airway and her subsequent death. Her tongue was protruding from her mouth.

Case #7 (Images 13-14)
This 24 year old office lady choked on a rice ball while having dessert. Attempts by her colleagues to force out the obstruction by pressing on her abdomen only caused her to vomit and then die.
