If you'd never started I'd have been doing them years ago, but there didn't seem like much point when there was someone jumping on each release with awful machine translations and MS Paint edits thinking that they're actually doing the world a favour. Even with this one there was a good chance that I was wasting my time because you would just put out another trash release, but you've thankfully skipped the last couple and it's short enough that maybe I could get in first even if you did do it.

It's not like I was going to spend a month working on the 150 page Ver. A release knowing that there's someone like you out there potentially working on it. That's just asking for trouble, I'd be halfway through it and find myself undercut by someone who doesn't give any shits about translation quality, editing quality or functional English. This is the downside of starting machine translation on a series, you make it very unappealing for anyone to even bother trying to compete with you. Unless they happen to have a history of already translating the author AND are a big fan of the source material like me, and even then it was a risk.

Do us all a favour and leave well enough alone. I'd say you should just get better at translating and editing, but if you actually gave two tugs of a dead dogs cock about any sort of quality you wouldn't have put out any of your releases in the first place. People with no translation and editing experience do better work than you. It takes more effort to make stuff look as bad as you do than it does to make a passable release. All you've done is made sure that a bunch of good stories will never get a good translation, and that sucks for all the readers and for Faker/Keny who deserves a bigger audience than I think they get.

@repec - I'm not redoing your terrible work. There's thousands of other good stories out there that deserve a translation instead of me cleaning up your messes. I will not encourage putting out shitty translations as a method of trying to convince other people to undo your fuck ups. Leave your translations up so that everyone can see the quality of your work and the level of respect you have for the artist. If you're not comfortable with your work being at the level of quality the work deserves, maybe don't do it.

And no, a bad translation is not better than no translation at all. Anyone can get a bad translation through stuff like scanlate.io or Cotrans if that's what they want, they don't need you. Literal machines do a better job at this than you. If you're going to molest stories, at least find something of value you can add to the process.
