I like his design of the kemono(beast) characters so much more than the Light Novel or Anime. Even if you're not a fan of furry stuff, you have to admit they're at least way more unique than Purple Haired Catgirl #482 like what they had in the anime.

Agreed Cloudrunner the anime really butchered the designs or tried to hard to match the LN where as the manga really nailed the beast races.

Sao Satoru is my GOLD STANDARD for Japanese Furry/Kemono, it is like he walks that thin line between Anime Catgirl and Full Furry without ever embracing either side, but fully enjoying the advantages of both.

And yes, wverything about the Anime adaptation of GATE was shit; they ruined most of the action, they ruined the gore, they ruined the character designs, and they even ruined some of the characters themselves. All of the sake of making it into "Yet another Harem Anime", it was sad.

Also, Giselle has the ABSOLUTELY BEST Dragon Girl Design in anime, period.
