This comic is a bad mixture of incoherent and sexless. Our main character lives in a fantasy universe that is very poorly explained, yet which features multiple, exceedingly boring world-building tangents that have virtually nothing to do with either intercourse or weight gain.

There's a huge difference between a 'slow burn' and a muddy road. The best I can say about this is that the artist truly knows how to draw. But that's never enough when a comic is FOUR HUNDRED PAGES LONG.

gotta love pixiveo's commitment to drawing 400+ pages of absolutely nothing going on. I have a feeling this is some elaborate troll on their part, but nobody would have ever put this much effort in.

I don't like Kip's latest comic, but I do still read the pages (though I mostly just do it for context so I can laugh at the increasingly critical comment section on Deviantart).

But this... eh...

I don't know what it is with pixiveo's rival work - perhaps it's the font or the sheer mass of text bubbles - but I've never gotten past about page 40. It just talks SO MUCH.

I think part of the problem is that none of the characters have a voice - like they are so lacking in personality that it feels like one person having this agonizing conversation with themself.

like, just admit y'all don't like long-form story-telling at this point. This comic isn't primarily made to get your rocks off, believe it or not. And Pixiveo's made several other comics that ARE.

But why look at those when you can bitch about the fact that THIS ONE isn't!
