I love this.

Having the character come down from the adrenaline rush of fighting for their lives and having time to dwell on how screwed up everything is and basically dealing with shell-shock is a great angle for a post-Resident Evil story.

IN CANON
After the Racoon City Incident, Claire left Leon and Sherry to attempt to find her brother.
Doing so, she abandons Leon and Sherry who get picked up by the US government where Sherry is taken to be experimented on, and Leon is conscripted to become a US Agent.

So Claire almost demanding to find Chris right now is not far off from Canon.

The art is incredible. The writing has the usual problems with fanfiction: It turns too emotional and convoluted too fast and easily. A good story leaves strong emotions for very specific moments, and don't linger on them because the brain can't feel strong emotions for too much time, it gets tiresome, boring, predictable. And keep the story simple, adding as few characters as possible, working with them instead of adding more and more. And keep exposition to the minimum. Every time a character has to tell his life story, you are losing points.

Most fan fiction stories start very well, but they show these signs over time. Writing is freaking hard.
