@Korobeiniqu translator made an april fools chapter of this, but then he didn't post the actual translation the day after like all other meme/joke ones, then some people got pissed or doubted he would post an actual one (even i doubted at some point, i have to admit, that one was shame on me) , and he took that personally apparently. He is (usually) a good translator tho, well, at least imo, rarely he exaggerates on the memes a little, but aside from that he is great

@Ahryman : Reading the comments and some of the doujin pages, it feels this is less translation and more of a localization. I have quite bad opinion about localization done to video games/anime (the most popular one is Dragon Maid and the "pesky patriarchal society demands" line). I prefer a much direct translation with a translation note if it's necessary to explain a line that doesn't quite translate to target language, so as to keep close to the author's original intent for the scene.

In fact you also commented there was a mario movie reference, (never watched so I don't know where is that reference). Do these "translations" are 1 to 1 translations, or did the translator took some liberty that fits his aesthetics? My worry for these changes if they are not 1 to 1 translation (I don't speak JP, I can't verify this) is that they break author's intent, like for example the tomgirl, does he speak that way, using the word "bussy"? Or is he the sort of dainty feminine boy, using feminine words in the original language? This doujin is obviously Japanese, so reading a Japanese doujin, I expect a very Japanese story, and not an American comic (characters talking like American, or busting American/English memes/references), you get me? I think this is very much a reasonable position on translation.

Localisation is the act of changing dialogue in both its intent and meaning to better suit the culture of the target demographic.
E.g; "This rice ball is delicious" to "I fucking love this Jelly Doughnut!".
Paraphasing is the act of changing the wording in a sentence, oftentimes to increase readability, fluidity and create a sentence that flows better than it would naturally in its own language.
E.g; "She was shot." to "A bullet hit her."
The fact that you already stated "I don't speak Japanese" means your opinion was moot from the get-go, though.
