@TyrantSlaughter: You say that as if eastern artists don't have similarly cringy dialogue or similarly specious logic in their stories, of which about 70% have plots which are partially or completely recycled. How many spoken "wwwww"s do you see in quote-unquote "speech" bubbles in Japanese works trying to portray a socially maladjusted channer who has wander into the outdoors?

I think Sparrow's writing is good for its purpose, he's trying to portray erotic caricatures in a heavy porn logic setting. It's intentional camp.
