Of the four main characters, only Felix is male playing a female avatar (Fiona). His friend Craig always plays male, and the two girls they encounter (Lisa and Sophie) always play female. In case this helps, the girls are a bit color-coded, Fiona most often wears red, Lisa purple and Sophie green.

The story arc with Jessica (strips 110-131) is more difficult to follow because there's a lot of off-screen speech bubbles, and the secondary characters go by two names depending on whether they are IRL or in stream: Jessica(IRL)/Ruby Jewel(Stream), Tom(IRL)/Sam(Stream), his girlfriend(IRL)/Marcy(Stream), Jessica's friend(IRL)/Ashley(Stream). Of these four secondary characters, all stay in gender except Ashley who is a crossdresser.
