The only thing that always bugged me about the Cottonwine Universe, is that literally every species is effected by the drug the same way, EXCEPT human/oid males? Human/oid females (I believe there are Elves and Dwarfs in this universe too) get similar effects as all other female species. Usually Naylor is good about stuff like this and has some sort of detailed explanation as to why something like this is the case.

Not sure if it's ever brought up though.

I'd say its a semi-remake. Look at the line up of species on the first page and you can clearly see that there are newer species at the back of the one's he covered already. I mean there is a rat back there too, something that was not covered in the first guide.
Besides I do not mind a redraw since more Jay art is always welcome.
