Not in the slightest bit surprised that the story sucks and doesn't really make any sense, it's a netorare story afterall. The thing is netorare in general doesn't make any real sense as far as what most of them try to pass off as a story, with that in mind so long as you remember that the story no matter of depressing it seems is stupid it won't get to you, simply due to how it does not make any real sense. Even so, I will admit the artwork for this game is great.
