With the realization that Lilliel has been taking most of the magic they absorb, and using them for her own ends, The Inaba enforcers hatch a plan to build their own power while denying it to their benefactor.

The first step is to conceal the amount of magic they drain, so they get to keep a larger portion of it. Storm, receiving no immediate role in this new plan, takes a walk to clear her mind.

On her way, she encounters potential friends or enemies, and the start of something sinister happening in the shadows, beneath the calm and peaceful mask of the small town.
