Zooika: because bad translations apparently discourage the legit translation groups from continuing to work on a given book. I don't particularly understand it either, but it's a thing; personally, I'd be more motivated to finish a given work and show up whoever used MTL. I do know that Project Valvrein is still working on this one, but it's annoying all the same.

As for why everyone hates MTL, very simple: AI cannot understand the nuances of language, so it's not a practical way of translating, and most of the time, the people posting it are third world idiots who don't speak a lick of English and are just looking for clout via *****. E-hentai has also experienced shitstorms with some butthurt retards intentionally uploading MTL works before, and that went over as well as you might expect.

I'll admit that I'm not a translator, but my advice is very simple: either translate in the language(s) you DO know, or don't bother; otherwise, all you'll get are subpar results.

Was wondering about the hate this translation work was getting, and when I attempted to read it my head started hurting. redundant sentences, weird word use, grammatical errors. yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhh I get it. The idea gets across, but the sentences are just terrible and barely passable. Actually ruins the mood.

shimekops: see what I mean? There's a very good reason AI translations get flamed around here. Maybe AI will be smart enough to to be used for translations in the future, but right now, it isn't even close.
