Most of the free internet stood up for it, people were making fun of CNN on forums or social media, but in the end the MSM won and most sites banned it, and even the Japanese company and distributors stopped selling or even straight up deleted it from their catalog as if it never existed.

It's more or less an open secret in the eroge localization community, but the media shitstorm that happened for this game, is actually why Alicesoft and Lilith took FOREVER to decide to open up to the idea of bringing their games to English and like, be open to non-Japanese people in general.

Meanwhile, Illusion's stance on the shitstorm was basically, "Wait, this game has been out for years and you're making a stink of this *now?*"

Like, if the game came out and then instantly was meeting eyes, it wouldn't have been an actual issue, since being one of the bigger eroge companies at the time, it would have been a lot of bad PR. But shit was delayed by like, 3 years?

Oh man. I still think the position and movement systems in this game are among the best in 3d eroges, but hell it did a number on my wrist and mouse. Specially the grind necessary to get the "good" ending.
I actually (re)played this on a Windows 10 machine a few years ago, no idea how. Lots of weird stuff happened, like not being able to alt+tab out of it or close the game without turning the pc off.

Didn't this game get a fan translation/English UI? Man, it has been years since I played this. Didn't care for the initial rape scenes, but man, once you turned the girls into love slaves, it was hotter than hot. Of course, I never let the game end 'cause I hated all the endings. lol

If memory serves, Hongfire had an active modding community for Illusion games (and others), so chances are they made a translation and a decensor patch etc.
But Hongfire is long, long dead, so those things are probably out there somewhere now.

@ahegyao if you have a decent pc, a virtual machine with Win7 runs it perfectly. Since the game is old, its not a huge toll on performance
