This is the first time I ever bothered to translate and upload a doujinshi, but fetio is one of my all time favourite artists and this soccer series is way too goated. The scanlators that normally translate fetio's works - Shuten Doujin, don't plan on picking this up soon and the previous fetio doujin was translated by them almost 3 months after the raws were leaked.
I honestly can't wait that long and I'm sure many of you cant either.
Anyway, I used a tool called Ichigo reader which is essentially an OCR tool that translates manga text using GPT-4o and overlays it in the speech bubbles, so yeah this was obviously MTL, but, it was the best and cleanest out of all the ones I tried.
Processing 143 pages, was super painful since ichigo limits you to 20 uploads per session(?), which meant that I had to switch between multiple browsers, use my phone, use VPN and so on, in an attempt to reset the limit,

Regardless, the outcome was totally worth it, and I hope you enjoy!

Damn, you really thought you did something? The fact that this was the case shows you didn't even use the actual GPT-4o model which is decent, but resorted to the free MINI variant, which like all pruned models, is fucking atrocious.

You do realize that most good translations are created due to someone finally getting fed up that they can't read what the characters are saying in what looks like hot, sexy smut, right? By translating it yourself, you got rid of any impetus for a better translation to be performed. Now we're stuck with this version, which has all the failings of your usual AI translation. That's the issue.

I get it, rough translations, MTL, and stuff like that can be really off-putting for some people. I know how bad they can be. But why make such a big deal out of it when the site already has a function to exclude tags you don’t like?

Personally, I’m not a fan either, but the solution is simple: just use the exclude tag feature, and voilà....problem solved!

That’s what tags are for in the first place. If you don’t like yaoi, scat, or anything else that doesn’t sit right with you, just filter them out.

And to the uploaders (whoever you are)...please tag properly! Don’t be lazy! Be fair to the readers

1) Literally only 1 group ever bothers to translate fetio's stuff.
2) They've confirmed that they won't be picking this up anytime soon, unless someone commissions it
3) @bos_ganja I've tagged it as a rough translation beforehand. There aren't any other tags that I can find which can be indicative that this is MTL.

@WhytShadow You can add [MTL] to the title too. If you aren't already checking the box, I believe there's one when creating the gallery to indicate the translation was not done by a person. Not all rough translations are done by AI, and sometimes the tag is added by someone with high voting power who appears to expect near-perfect translations. It doesn't always get removed if the translator makes corrections so that it shouldn't qualify for it anymore. I've seen some that the uploader has stated that it was done by AI or it clearly has numerous mistakes, but it doesn't have the tag, as those with less than 25 MP can't add, upvote, or downvote the tag (which is why your suggestion doesn't always work @bos_ganja). Adding that to the title helps people determine if they should expect just the minimum number of mistakes or something that is close to unreadable. That's because many of the people who post AI translations here seem to think the AI couldn't possibly make mistakes and just post it without bothering to proofread it, correct obvious spelling/grammar mistakes, and/or notice that one or more pages just have a note left in the middle that it couldn't be translated because of the size.
