Upfront this is an MTL, however, I promise I tried much harder than most to ensure it's not just MTL input-output slop!
Also, this is my first post to this site, so I think I probably screwed up the tagging system! I apologize for not doing it correctly.
I know, generally, MTL/AI translations are seen as sins, but I can't afford to hire translators, however I want this content to be given a fair shake! If this is still unworthy, and you've given it a fair shake, let me know! I'd love to know your thoughts and feelings! As if this level of effort is generally acceptable, I'd love to keep giving things I also love said effort.

That was translated fairly roughly, and was also edited to exclude the vagina on Sara on page 30.
My first go I had intended to be a less messy shot before moving on to bekobeko's newer works if it was deemed acceptable. I know the feelings that mtl works might drive others away from doing natural translations. But seeing how slow/non-existent beko's work is for any real tl's, I wanted to put a good foot forward at an attempted re-write. Not to cast flack on the other person, but this felt like an appropriate first step. But I'd still love to know any other thoughts so, if I can, I have avenues to improve! I welcome any and all thoughts!

For what it's worth, with the current waves of EN fanlations getting nuked I, myself, find it rather a bit of a hard sell to want to commission out for things like such. The last time I commissioned a TL, it was nuked off the scraper within a week. You can say what you will about the site, our feelings about it neither here nor there, but to have something I paid for be taken down off one of the larger sites is still something I'm contending with. While that may not be good justification for all, I do hope it at least clarifies why I felt like this was a choice.

Normally I hate MTLs, but you successfully avoided the main problems (leaving nonsense, poor formatting). A real translation would probably not have been that much better. It's legible and sensible enough to be hot AF, so we good. Thanks a bunch. I'd still recommend commissioning a translator and to keep studying the language ofc.

From glancing over it, it looks solid. I'd say if you fixed the cover formatting (either do away with the "title bubble" or remake it to make it fit the new text like the Japanese version did) and centered the text a little better throughout, you'd be able to get away with not telling people it was an MTL translation. It'd still be helpful to have it as a footnote, but at this point it seems like most of the naysayers are reacting because of how MTL translations usually are, and not to the work you did.

@subilial, thank you very much for the feedback and kind notes! I can't promise anything about commissioning a translator, as I don't want to promise something just to stick my foot in my mouth, but I understand where you're coming from! Regardless, I'm glad it was good enough to keep it exciting enough hahah.

@beddhist, I agree on the cover, that was the thing I spent the least time on because I'm horrid with image editing software, and I hate trying to copy gradients! Hahah. I'd love to know your thoughts about what spots I didn't do well enough on text centering though, as that is one of the things I spent lots of time on. But thank you for the feedback and suggestions as well!

Honestly the fact that the author themselves use AI for the art makes any convo about the AI/MTL translation moot, not like you're 'sullying' anything.

While I feel like the jury is still out on if the author does actually habitually use AI, as only one is actually tagged as such, I understand the sentiment! And thanks for your input on it! I appreciate the viewpoint!

Sorry to hear you feel it's garbage! If you could be more specific about what is so subpar, I'd love to hear your specific complaints, so I could work on something! However, mind you, there are no options I have that don't break upload rules to not tag things in English as English other than not checking a box for "rough translation" during upload! So your consideration there would be very much appreciated!
