aevi1957~ to explain to you, WebP is a format developed by google to be the modern internet format for images. unlike certain other formats, it is remarkably good in all 3 needed areas... 1, it allows for a higher compression rate without reduction in quality. that means the file size of the images in alot smaller for the same quality, or greater for the same size. 2, it allows for transparancy (( if you know the difference between jpeg and png, one allows transparancy while the other is better with animations..)) 3..its also great with animations.

i think the only downside is that a really selfish tech company is refusing to support it because they are attempting to create their own version... Apple...

its not the Creator of this arts fault that they are using a superior format. its Apples fault for refusing shit (( that is if apple computers dont work well with it, i dont know personally))
