With how many of this authors stories there are of the witches brainwashing absolutely everyone, with never failing once, you'd really think the people of this world would be absolutely terrified hiding alone in holes fearing any humanoid contact, and basically wiped away at this point. Really, it should be the witches stealing servants from each other at this point, slowly becoming more and more twisted monsters each transformation (some of the stories have some half-transformed people stolen by others, but I don't recall any complete transformations being taken away)

@memyselfandI most of these stories have characters mentioning having succesfully fought off witches and they never look or act corrupted at that point, so presumably either we're exclusively seeing the scenarios where people crit fail their will saves at critical moments, or the witches already brainwashed everyone ages ago and are just fucking around at this point
