The """problem""" with Laliberte's works is that they weren't made for people who don't like seeing a male blank-slate guy suffer. And that can feel counterproductive, considering how popular blank-slate characters are in most fictional settings.

More or less redeemed in my book, although true redemption isn't possible because she won't allow herself to be recognized by Yuuto or interact with him anymore, so she can't go through that process with him as he's the only one that could offer it (forgiveness is an early step in the redemption process, but she ran away from him without going through the others - maybe laliberte was implying that she didn't really care and had cut herself off from him emotionally in every way, and her regret was just shame for being a slut rather than for hurting Yuuto).

His mom goes into hiding but is still a slut. Partial redemption in that she also knows she is trash that doesn't deserve to be in Yuuto's life, but she couldn't give up being treated like a whore.

Misaki only stays with him because of her rich and public-facing family's honor. Turns out she was the most fallen of all of them. She even does stuff to put pressure on Yuuto in order to keep him unstable and suffering, and then talks down to him when he doesn't perform well. She thinks she owns him and runs him ragged. She fully believes she's doing him a favor by sticking around him. Zero redemption.

This is actually prime material for a sequel involving Yuuto's broken marriage to Misaki, but laliberte doesn't do sequels.

If you remember any of my comments in other works you'll know that I am not an NTR fan. I do like to comment on those works where the mangaka tried to write a story. La Liberte is not one of those. You get some sense of joy on the ridiculous aspects of that story like how a rock can stay floating till it's acknowledged by the character. Alongside the running in air till it is acknowledged. The issue with ntr is that people want this to seem smarter than it actually is. Granted the same can be said for vanilla but, I'd venture that is more comparable to road runner then ntr is. I don't think Misaki hates him or wants to make him suffer, I think that she hates that he killed Kuroda but did not manage to grow into a real man then while she knows she now needs that from him. He looked powerful at school but only because he got to enforce other people's rules but in the end can't make his own way. It's also implied that she forsook a degenerate lifestyle and is trying to live as a respectable woman, and part of doing that was getting rid of reminders of her past.

You're the one who absolutely wants to project his wikipedia knowledge of Japanese society on this story instead of reading it. Misaki is the one who decided to still kill Kuroda and got cold feet because he manipulated her broken state, yet she still freed Yuuto to finish him. At no point in her inner dialogue even at the end of the sex scenes there is an indication that she resents Yuuto while the other two do especially the mom. What we do see is that she realised Yuuto had been a pushover that did not want to fuck without condoms and was not good enough at sex. Likewhile you're inventing the tension between her and her father and if the kid was a problem she would have avorted instead of showing her father she still got pregnant out of wedlock.

What we do see is that Yuuto and her have the appearance of a perfect family but are broken inside because they are still on the island, mostly because they did not get closure, Misaki wants a more socially and sexually assertive partner, Yuuto considers that he died on the island and is burried there with Kuroda and failed reaching the character growth Kuroda thought he saw in him. She's not some perfect sadistic manipulator because we've got no hint of that in the story, she's sexually broken and wants to relive what happened on the island like Yuuto and the mom and is dissapointed to see and Yuuto died on the island instead of still having the ambition he had at the start of the story and that he sucks at sex. She's pushing him to have backbone not torturing him.

If anything it's Yuuto that regrets the killing because he depended on Misaki to do it and still is a pushover that can't do what he needs to do.

Pretty much the same thing for your description of Ryoko, you're just making it up. What we see is that she loved Yuuto probably the most out of the three and up to the end supported him killing Kuroda, else she would have stopped him. She got broken because of Yuuto's lasting love for Miyaki not because of Kuroda. Her character growth is her moving away from Yuuto no from Kuroda because she's never been broken sexually. I do think Misaki still love Yuuto, was something they wanted from the beginning and well is the only plan they had after they both got broken after the events of the island tho Misaki's feelings are completely twisted to the point to arrange gangbang affairs at night which is a reputation risk while still living with Yuuto, maybe the epilogue flesh that out more because we dont know what Misaki really thinks of her situation. Yuuto seems to doubt she loves him so that may be a foreshadowing.

Also thinking in retrospective each girl keeps a memory of Kuroda, Ryoko with his new BF who looks the part mixed with Yuuto imo, Misaki having gangbangs with gyaruohs which she can affort to do due to her status and the mom still mourning him but i would say that the mom fucking the other monks in front of Kuroda's headstone make me amused. One can say she is cuckholding him.

That japanese families would want to cover up the incident does not mean we can inject that in the story without it being mentioned anywhere. If they were afraid of out of unlegitimate children they wouldn't adopt the mom's kid. What we did see is Ryoko saying Miyaki finally got to do what she couldn't do with Yuuto and Miyaki keeps doing it afterwards. All the girls got a twisted version of what they wanted, the mom has sex + a husband she loves, Ryoko has a boyfriend that is the chad version of Yuuto and Miyaki got Yuuto + hardcore sex. The one that showed he cared about reputation is Yuuto before the island and he's the one that is really "broken" because he's been exposed as a total passsive winp and did not manage to grow out of it even after killing Kuroda. We never see that "Misaki's" feelings are twisted, she's sex addicted. Yuuto is the one dead and his perception of the world twisted,

The gangbang in the end is such a tease, I used to love when laliberte did more gangbangs and it was so fucking hot seeing his eventual wife end up like that, but only for ONE page...

Maybe they can continue solely that part of it.

Overall, I generally agreed with the complaints that this was the same old "shitty guy steals the girl away from the weak-willed man" story, and that it was WAY TOO LONG given there were three of them, but if it were a shorter story I woulda found it really hot instead of massively repetitive. A cookie cutter NTR to me is always gonna be hot unless it's gonna be repeated several times over like it was with this story. It was dragged on so long that finally killing the asshole dude didn't even feel cathartic, it might as well have kept going forever... which in some ways it kind of did with how both the mom and the girlfriend become sluts again anyways.

Which leads me back to... now THOSE stories feel like better settings than this one. I'd rather read a full-fledged story now of whatever gangbang cult the mom got involved in, or how his wife became a gangbang slut for SEVERAL men now, not just one guy with a similarly huge dick.

I know I'm voicing my bias toward gangbang stories; I do enjoy NTR as a genre in general even if it's just one guy doing the cucking, and I woulda liked aspects of this story if they were more self-contained and perhaps separate, but it dragged on so long every chapter felt the same until it finally ended.

Ending ruins the enjoyment of a series I was otherwise enjoying. But if it's something you liked, then hey, good for you for getting a story you enjoyed out of this run.

I'm not a big NTR fan, but this manga caught my attention, but it ended up being pretentious nonsense with no plot. I understand that this is a pure fap material, but I can't help feeling that it's trying to seem like something more. The ending upset me, mc had the balls to kill bull, but he didn't seem to have changed from the inside(i mean there is no character development at all). Tbh the ending would have been better if mc had just committed suicide xD

I believe that a relatively good ending where the mc grows beyond himself and breaks free from the shackles of the past would not have affected the NTR aspect of the manga.

Or he could have broken the mold and depicted the hero's development from a weakling to a courageous man after timeskip. I really expected second one cuz mc literally killed that guy and I was so confused and dissapointed after that ending.

Do you draw art? There comes a point when you get fed up with creating the same thing over and over again and want to try on new things, new kinds of stories, unless you have some sort of fixation over that theme in a way that prevents you from exploring and growing as an artist. So I don't believe in comfort zones when it comes to writing, only in terms of visual style. It's not mentally healthy to keep reheating the same story.
