Mate trying to read the text on these is legitimately headache-inducing. Rather than using the character colour for the text and an off colour for the outline you'd probably be better served by using white for the text (especially since there's a lot of dark backgrounds going on) and the character colour for the outline. A very small drop shadow would also do a lot to help the text stand out from the backgrounds.
