Miren Morikawa is very angry with Matsui. Even though he is a coward and struggles to take initiative, Miren gave him a chance because he tries to help her, even if just a little. But he keeps lying and letting himself be influenced by the other girls.

C > He admits he messed up, knows he can’t fix it, and instead turns to Shara Yoshizuka.
D > He does nothing. Riori Ushida decides everything is fine and continues as planned.

[D] Yes… in the long run, it’s the worst choice. Although “C” is not a bad decision, Shara would be better with Matsui or Haruky (her brother). Matsui is the only one not constantly thinking about sex; at least he would take better care of her than Kido and Aoyama, who only think about that.

Shara Yoshizuka is aware of her younger brother’s feelings for her but decides not to act. It’s a shame that, to stay with her “friends,” she lets herself be used, even carelessly. She is the most corrupted of the group, probably choosing not to think too much about it. (Sometimes people do very foolish things to feel included, even at the cost of their integrity.)

- Aoyama will make sure to become Miren Morikawa’s boyfriend or lover.
- Riori Ushida acts independently, continuing to play with her younger classmates.
- Kido is like Riori… unfortunately, he won’t let Shara Yoshizuka go easily if she tries to have a real relationship with Matsui.
- Matsui is a walking disaster. He has been so weakened by the author that he directly loses consciousness, continuing to watch and listen to Miren with those boys.

About the story, I haven't read it yet, but I'm gonna guess that some things will only happen because the author will force characters to go out of their way to stay quiet and avoid speaking their minds, or else the story can't happen

Edit: ok I've read it. I was expecting your typical "everyone is better than the MC" sort of NTR story wriiten with a cruel intent (the kind of story that @lazybstrd is wishing for above), but this author is very generous with the MC, I really liked that. The MC gets girls, and there's just a little provocation, and no humiliation.
I'd even put this story less in the NTR field and more in the voyeurism field, because a typical NTR beat (absent in this work) is the MC manifesting his disapproval about his love interest getting with someone else and is then denied in some humiliating way, but in this case he just goes along with it since he doesn't care and is receiving pleasant things.

It definitely feels this way.
It's the 3rd story from Seto that is exactly like that.
You have to make a step forward, you are a man, not a mop.
It requires some courage to do that, modern heroism. But the MCs are so indecisive for various reasons that they end up getting thrown under a bus, at least in the last 2 stories they get laid.
