Settings like that are so far removed from common sense that I thought "common sense alteration" would be fitting (or anything shorter with the same meaning of course). Because it explains the womens reaction to being treated like that, they arent coerced into it, they arent blackmailed into it, they could probably get out of that situation if they wanted to but they would rather just live with it because they dont see it as a danger. "Yep, just a regular thursday for me."
