I think I have a pretty good guess of what's going to happen in this comic. Given that this takes place in the same universe as the Mornings series, one would expect incest or some other taboo to be involved here. Maya has the hots for this guy who she believes is her dad, and they will eventually cross that line. But the fact that this is a colored comic sadly gives away who her real father is: the older dog dude with the same color scheme as hers. I have a feeling that Ken used to be Maya's mother's boyfriend back in the day, but she cheated on him with the other guy and then Ken just moved on with his life. But Maya unwittingly is going to bring him all those painful memories back.

Well, having a pretty good idea as to where the comic is generally going, with page 19 a suspicion of mine proved correct: Lucy and Ken were high school lovers, both 15-16 in age, when Maya was conceived. There's a pretty good chance Ken didn't even know that Lucy was pregnant when he left, either he moved away or she did, and maybe the act that produced Maya was done as "one last night together" before parting ways. I say this because Ken appears to be completely oblivious to the possibility of Maya being his daughter, even after she mentions she's 19 and a dog-rabbit hybrid.

With that said, if Maya doesn't come clean about her real intentions for seeking him out soon, I get this feeling he's going to stumble upon that photo by accident and the truth with come down upon him like a ton of bricks... Likely after they've fucked.

EDIT 25/01/26: Oooooh, with page 21 the plot thickens. This might throw a wrench into my theory about how Ken and Lucy's relationship ended, but it's an interesting change and has grabbed my attention. Can't wait to see where this leads.
