Well this is a new/reveal. Never thought I would see a modern fan comic talking Nicky The Hedgehog. Nicky is the younger version of Sonic from a Manga series back in the early 90's.
The whole story with Nicky is that he is a 4th grader who is basically Peter Parker before the spider bite. He has the power to swap places with himself that is 6 years into the future. That future self is Sonic.
Note, this Manga also stated that Nicky and Amy were dating. Yet Amy still liked Sonic slightly more, not knowing that it's just Nicky aged up. Such a good read.
