Update (3/31/2026): Came back again to post the artist's concepts and scrapped work they release.
Page 29: "Alright, time for the scrapped/unused sketch thread!✨
Starting with... the very first concept doodle, made half-jokingly all the way back in September after Silksong was released. As you can see, only part 1 here bears any resemblance to the final finished sequence.."
Page 30: "When starting to refine the concept way later, I played around with the idea of Hornet's mask cracking towards the end, revealing a much more feral spider visage.
In the end I decided I wanted to keep her more recognizable, but I did carry over the more feral, glossy spider eyes shown here."
Page 31-32: "More early doodles, trying to figure out the kind of shape and weight I wanted to go for, and also how to have her butt connect to the legs.
The last one here would eventually be reworked into the final pose for part 7."
Page 33: "There was an idea for a "Part 6.5", two panels showing her new arms bursting out of her torso.
I still really like this sketch, tf body horror slut that I am, but when trying to refine it I just could not get it to look right. I also felt it broke up the flow of the sequence, so it was scrapped."
Page 34-36: "The first sketch for the final part, and a version where I tried to partially integrate the broken mask concept.
It was meant to mirror part 1 in the same way part 7 mirrors part 2, but it felt far, far too stiff. I reworked it quite a bit before I was happy... the finale had to be *perfect*."
Page 37-40: "And last but not least, the very rough sketches for the second vote!
I'll be honest, I really liked all of these; if I had the energy and found a way to work them all in, I would have. But the whole point of the votes was that certain outcomes would be sacrificed, alas..."
Page 41: "As a little bonus, here's the script I wrote for if Lace won the first vote (which I was kind of expecting tbh).
I definitely obsessed over the finer details a lot, but it was fun writing Silksong characters in-character!"
