Nice touch at page 17. In my experience playing into kinks is 1000% more important with women vs. your physicality, especially with humiliation stuff.

Jay Naylor's worldview on relationships and sexuality really just rub me the wrong way. He's a very talented artist, but he just has that really toxic incel view of the world. In the Naylorverse: everyone cheats on their partners; the biggest difference between men and women is that men are honest about how fucked up they are, whereas women lie about it (unless you are a guy with a vagina like Red); and anyone who is not a cishet is just pretending in order to get attention. I get a bit of amusement from people starting to figure out that Jay Naylor like to write character with a few screws loose, in the broken kinda way, not half schizo way, having hot sex.

If you found yourself agreed with a lot of the stuff spilled by the characters or related to the characters, get help. He may write a few good point here and there (it should be obvious that no amount of media propaganda could put the kink of a 330 lb Walmart shopper in someone who didn't have that kink already), but most of it are cringey craps that you would expect messed up people to spilled.

When you compare Naylor to other NTR/cheating in Japanese Doujin, it definitely is on the tamer side.

As mentioned before though, the difference with Naylor is that all his settings and dialogue are just oozing with his own pretentious libertarian worldview and his patronizing attemps to explain the nature of men and women.

What I meant earlier, with the introduction of Peggy Swanson and Jay's recent tendency to add incest between parents and children, many of us were expecting something else from this comic. But I think it was our fault for expecting something other than a toxic storyline.

This would be my guess as why Jay's comics rub some people the wrong way. If we look at dialogues, the thing that Jay's characters spills are still tamer than some NTR stories out there, but maybe that is the problem. When you hear the ugly bastard say "all women are sow and only good for cleaning my cock", it so absurdly terrible that it wrap around to rub your funny bone, but in Jay's case, his characters is saying something that doesn't quite hit that absurd level; "Will his gf cheat on him? eh. On a long enough timeline, all women do." is something you can see some poor bastard with smug look on his face say in a bar or on the street somewhere, and that trigger your cringe response.

The art also play into it. Usually in NTR stories, whether it is the ugly bastard or the gyaru-oh, the art of them ooze disgusting vibe, so you can sense that the artists on some level condemning the bastards. Jay's art are neutral with his character and doesn't have any flair that straight out tell you the vibe of the characters. The only flair you can count is the pov of the panel, and that usually just highlight the sexy bits. I would guess that because the visual doesn't convey condemnation when characters spilled their toxic ideals many people interpret it as Jay's support of those views. Objectively though, that just basic story telling; hell even good story telling in some cases. You let the character informed the audience of the character's personal world view, and let the audience choose their opinion of the character. If you give Jay's characters dialogues to some rando on the street, they will probably say "wow, that character a dick" and not "wow the author is a dick". Unless you follow Jay and hear him declaring the same beliefs, you would not likely to guess that the dialogues are oozing the personal belief of the author.

Lastly, Jay's stories usually also end on a neutral note. Nothing really resolve, no one really get praise or condemn for their beliefs. People just go back to indulge in their twisted fetishes. I can see that rub people the wrong way if they disagreed with the beliefs' of the character. You expected some sort of comeuppance for character that hold beliefs you don't like because that would reinforce your beliefs. At a certain point, I would say that is a self-own by personal expectation. I usually try to keep some distance between my expectation and the story. I treat it as a ride, let myself go and follow the track that the story is set on; if I don't like it, I get out or just think "well that suck!" and move on. I rarely get offended by a story unless it either just truly atrocious, think Veilguard, or it manage to blew up its previously well established track, think One More Day.
